Spring and Summer have past, 'Winter shines through the mist'.

 'Winter shines through the mist'

Another decade is passing, and for fauna and flora, it is not essential, even conceivable. For them, it is about the seasons. I wanted to reflect on the year, a little reminder of what has passed.

The warm days have passed, and the shortest day will be sometime soon.

Courtship dance of Spring no longer.

The spring song that filled the warm days has waned.

The tepid waters enjoyed, now chilled.

New life has fledged.

The summer harvests gathered.

Pastures are laid bare, and rivers inundate the lower land.

The rising sun is now far to the South as daylight fades evermore.

Mist shrouds the trees as November's chill fills the air.

A Buzzard desperate to perch.

Temperatures plummet, and the call of "lost souls" has begun. Thousands of Common Cranes pass South, heralding an end to the year's migration South.

A Barn Owl awaits a chance of food and little sleep with these shortened days.

Sunshine floods the meadows, the waters rise, Ducks are in
Paradise.

We will see you soon, my friends, and hopefully feel the warmth of Spring as you pass over migrating North.

For now, it's Winter once more. The fires burn to keep us warm.

Happy Days!
